SYNTOL / SOLUTION

Human genetic analysis

From genetic marker to the appropriate analytical method

The SYNTOL portfolio supports two principal approaches: SNP genotyping by real-time PCR and analysis of repeat/microsatellite markers by PCR followed by capillary electrophoresis. The clinical meaning of a particular variant is assessed separately and cannot be inferred simply from the availability of an assay.

For laboratories selecting an analysis by marker and method

The page is organized around the genetic marker and analytical method. It helps laboratories find an assay by SNP, gene, or repeat sequence while keeping the measured molecular feature separate from any potential clinical interpretation.

Choose an area

Two distinct scientific directions

SNP-Screen forms a large family of real-time PCR assays for SNP genotyping. The second area includes DHM-200, DHM-201, and DHM-205 for repeat analysis by capillary electrophoresis.

Methods

Key methods are SNP genotyping by real-time PCR and capillary electrophoresis with fragment analysis. SNP is a type of genetic variant; disease and drug contexts are not part of the analytical method.

Core products

Core solutions are SNP-Screen, DHM-200 (UGT1A1), DHM-201 (AR), and DHM-205 (HTT). SNP assays can be found by gene and rs identifier.

Important considerations

Result interpretation

An analytical result describes a genetic marker or variant. By itself, it does not establish diagnosis, disease risk, prognosis, treatment response, drug selection, or dosing. Clinical associations and thresholds are used only where supported by the intended use and current documentation of the specific product.
